The Interactive Atlas of Dermatoscopy is a multimedial project for medical education based on a CD-ROM collection of more than 2.000 images of pigmented skin lesion including melanocytic and non-melanocytic skin tumors. In addition, an internet connection for continuing medical education and up date services is provided.

 

 


This Interactive Atlas of Dermoscopy is composed of a tutorial section including text, example images, and self-assessment test.
Using a large database readers can evaluate their ability to recogniza dermoscopic criteria, to diagnose pigmented lesion, and to calculate diagnostic algorithms.

This interactive course will guide the readers through a rapid, multistep and easy learning phase covering basic and advanced aspects of dermoscopy.

Search possibilities via specific diagnoses and/or clinical-dermoscopic characteristics are provided for the interactive consultation of more than 2.000 pigmented lesion recorded with complete clinical, dermoscopic, and histopathologic data.
All cases are supplied with specific comments focusing on clinico pathologic correlations of the main dermoscopic aspects. Furthermore, the level of diagnostic difficulty of a given pigmented skin lesion and management recommendations are supplied.

Thanks to new multimedial technologies consuliting the dermoscopy CD-ROM will be simpler than reading a book. Moreover, a help section showing the CD-ROM functionalities and procedures is included.

This is the only dermoscopic atlas which offers such a wide range of images making it an ideal reference tool for all physicians involved in the field of diagnosing pigmented skin lesion.
